GRANT APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Following are the instructions and forms you’ll need to prepare your proposal and meet our grant funding requirements.
GRANT RECIPIENT FOCUS
Beneto Foundation supports 501(c)(3) charitable organizations providing service to individuals and families in and around the greater Sacramento, California region. Special consideration is given to organizations that serve children and adults with disabilities or families experiencing homelessness or extremely low income.
GRANT ELIGIBILITY
We will consider grant funding for ongoing projects, one-time projects, specific programs, or general operating needs. Grants are typically awarded for a one-year time period.
Our typical grant funding range is $5,000 to $100,000. New applicants selected for funding are typically awarded up to $5,000.
You will be deemed ineligible and therefore encouraged NOT to apply if your organization:
- Does not serve individuals living in the greater Sacramento region
- Supports political organizations or political campaigns
- Focuses on national fundraising efforts
APPLICATION TIMELINE - CLOSED
- Applications are NO LONGER being accepted for 2026 at this time.
- The application deadline was Thursday, October 1st.
- Any applications submitted after the deadline will NOT be considered, to be fair to those who submitted on time.
- You will receive an email confirmation once your grant application is received.
- Applications are reviewed by the Beneto Foundation Board after the application deadline.
- Awards are announced shortly thereafter. We kindly request that you DO NOT CALL for information or updates regarding your application.
